Committed to the resource
At Tofino Fish Guides we recognize strong salmon and halibut populations are vital both to the ocean environment, and to providing our guests with an exceptional fishing experience. In addition to operating with sensitivity to our resource we are committed to donating 1% of profits to non-profit organizations that effect positive change with regard to our resource.
In the spring of 2013 Tofino Fish Guides along with other members of the Tofino Charter fleet co-founded the "Tofino Charter Fishing Fleet – 1% for the fish" program to raise funds and awareness for salmon enhancement in Clayoquot Sound. TFG matches the 1% collected on charter fees. Money collected is donated to the Tofino Salmon Enhancement Society, the non-profit operator of the local salmon hatchery along with other local stewardship groups.
